This Accessibility Statement applies to all content published on the portal https://portal.ncris.gov.gr/, including mobile applications, where applicable.

2. Legal Framework

The A’ Criminal Record Department is committed to making this portal and its mobile application accessible, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette A’ 184), as in force.

3. Compliance Status

This website fully complies with the accessibility requirements of Article 39 of Law 4727/2020 and with the WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) standard.

Specifically, the website and application incorporate the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget, powered by a dedicated accessibility server (offering a range of functions for persons with disabilities, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments). Through this Widget, accessibility issues relating to WCAG 2.1 Level AA are addressed.

4. Preparation of this Statement

The evaluation of the website and application compliance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines (Level A and Level AA) was carried out:

  • Through self-assessment conducted by the A’ Criminal Record Department (Issuance Department).

6. Submission of Comments – Request for Information

According to Article 42 paragraph 4(b) and Article 45 paragraph 1 of Law 4727/2020, every interested party has the right to:

  • Submit comments regarding the accessibility of the website.
  • Submit a request for information regarding the compliance status.
  • Request information that is missing or not available in an accessible format.

Communication:

The response shall be communicated to the interested party in an appropriate manner as soon as possible and within the deadlines defined by Law 4727/2020.

7. Enforcement Procedure – Appeal

The response shall be communicated to the interested party in an appropriate manner as soon as possible.

In the event of an unsatisfactory response, the interested party has the right to обратиться to the competent institutional authorities, including by submitting a relevant complaint to the Greek Ombudsman (https://www.synigoros.gr).

8. Regular Review

The entity is committed to reviewing this Accessibility Statement at least annually, as well as following significant changes to the structure or content of the website, in accordance with Article 42 paragraph 1 of Law 4727/2020.

Regular scans using the UserWay tool are conducted to identify and remedy accessibility barriers.
