We would like to inform you that the use of active access accounts for accredited users of public bodies on the National Criminal Records Portal has been extended until 30 November 2026, for the electronic submission of applications and receipt of Criminal Record Extracts.

After the above deadline, access to the online portal and use of the related electronic services will be available exclusively through Public Administration credentials.

Interested parties are kindly requested to ensure in good time that they have the required access arrangements in place before the exclusive use of Public Administration credentials comes into effect.

Please be informed that the “Horizontal Authorization System” service will be unavailable from Friday, October 2, 2026 at 22:00 until Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 14:00.

What the new portal offers:

• Electronic Application & Issuance: Citizens can now apply for and receive a copy of their Criminal Record digitally using their Taxisnet credentials.

• Integration with gov.gr

• Bulk Application Functionality: For public services and organizations, allowing multiple citizens to be included in a single request.

• Validity Verification: A dedicated feature for verifying the authenticity of digital copies through a unique identification code.
